The Structure of an Automation
An automation can be broken down into 2 parts:

The Trigger: This is the event which starts off ("triggers") the automation.

The Action: This is the response which occurs after the automation is triggered.
-
Multi-Step: 1 trigger can set off multiple actions.
Another important factor of an automation is the timing. As the action occurs automatically, the timing needs to be set in advance. The action can take place immediately after the trigger, or after a predefined number of hours or days.
Just a couple of guys that got tired of doing things, so they spent all their days building things, so they wouldn't have to do anymore things and then realized they have to do all the things in order to do nothing¡ (tbc...)
